The IV International Conference "Archives and Genealogy" began its work in the National Library of Karelia. The conference is organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia in cooperation with Sukuseurojen Keskusliitto ry (Eng. Central Union of Genealogical Societies) (Finland).
17/09/2021. National projects: a new model library will appear in Kondopoga in 2022
Children's Library of the B. E. Kravchenko Central Library of the Kondopoga District became a winner of the competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The institution will receive 5 million rubles for repairs and equipment to meet the model library standard.

A meeting with an employee of the Finnish Consulate in Petrozavodsk took place at the National Library. On August 9, 2021, Finnish writer Tove Jansson would have turned 107. The world loves her as a fairy-tale writer who has created a unique world of moomins and other unusual creatures. On the eve of the birthday of the famous writer, a representative of the Finnish Consulate visited our library.

June 10, 2021:
Admirers of unique Karelian runes gathered together in the National Library of Karelia to take part in the event which this year has been celebrated for the first time – the Day of Karelian Runes.The audience listened to the lecture "Storytellers and Rune singers of Karelia" with musical accompaniment by the children's ensemble of folk music "Peregudki" of the Petrozavodsk Karl Rautio Musical college (heads Violetta Zhukova and Tatyana Ananyeva).
