13/12/2021. Opening of the exhibition "Modern Nordic Cities: Ecology and Sustainable Development"
December 8, 2021:
The National Library of Karelia opened an exhibition "Modern Nordic Cities: Ecology and Sustainable Development" in the framework of the international festival ”Days of Nordic Countries in Petrozavodsk”. The exhibition was organized by a longtime partner of the library – the Danish Cultural Institute in Saint Petersburg.
08/12/2021. "Karelian Gods: Agricola's List" – calendar 2022
December 5, 2021:
The National Library of Karelia held a presentation of the Calendar “Karelian Gods: Agricola's List". The "Runola" project team worked on the calendar. At the presentation, Tatyana Berdasheva told about the stages of the calendar development. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the Runola project team, the historical texts collected by Mikael Agricola have got a new embodiment.
03/12/2021. THE EPIC POEM KALEVALA IN THE LANGUAGES OF THE PEOPLES OF THE WORLD
December 1, 2021:
The Library Association of the Republic of Karelia together with the National Library of Karelia held a cultural event ”Let’s Read Runes of the Epic Poem Kalevala in the Languages of the Peoples of the World”. The purpose of the event was to present a variety of translations of the Karelian-Finnish epic poem Kalevala on the Internet.

03/11/2021. The Role of Libraries in Preserving the Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Region
October 29, 2021:
The National Library of Karelia held a seminar The Role of Libraries in Preserving the Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Region. Traditionally, the seminar is held every two years by specialists of the Department of National and Local Literature and Bibliography. On the 29th of October, the seminar was attended by 31 libraries of Karelia.
05/10/2021. The federal project "The Library of the New Generation", launched within the framework of the National Project "Culture", works on the territory of Karelia
October 1, 2021:
The Kotkozero Rural Model Library named after Zinaida Dubinina was opened.
The funds received under the federal project were used to create a new information and library space, purchase new books, modern equipment, educational programs and games for children, including games of local history.
