The National Library of the Republic of Karelia held an information and educational seminar "Karelia is my Native Land: Local History Resources of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia”. The seminar was organized by the National Library of Karelia and the resource centre ”Karelian Literature to the Karelian Schoolchildren” of Petrozavodsk secondary school no 38.

At the big reading hall of the National Library of Karelia, a presentation of Pavel Sysoev's new book, Pike with a Wolftail, took place in the circle of relatives, friends and admirers of the poet's work. Pavel Sysoev is a poet and prose writer and member of the Union of Russian Writers.

02/12/2025. To the 100th anniversary of Genrikh Altshuller: the National Library of Karelia begins preparations for anniversary events
In 2026, Genrikh Altshuller (1926–1998) turns 100 years. Altshuller was an outstanding Soviet engineer, science fiction writer, and inventor of the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (in Russian TRIZ), which has received worldwide recognition.
