The National Library of Karelia held a creative meeting with Elena Rusakova, Editor of Roman-Gazeta magazine. Roman-Gazeta is the most popular literary magazine in Russia; it started in 1927 with an active participation of Maxim Gorky.

The National Library of Karelia joined the Literary Dictation international educational campaign. The purpose of the dictation is to give an independent assessment of participants’ knowledge in the field of Russian literature, as well as to promote the development of reading competence in order to draw attention to the texts of Russian literature.

The National Library of Karelia takes an active part in Tactile Aids Workshop project supported by the Grants Fund of the Head of the Republic of Karelia. The goal of the project is to increase access to knowledge about the surrounding world among children with disabilities, incl. blind and visually impaired, in Petrozavodsk.
