As part of the implementation of the Culture National Project in 2024, two more libraries will become model libraries in Karelia: the Central Library of the Segezha District and the Borovoy Rural Library of the Kalevala District.

A solemn meeting dedicated to the 190th anniversary of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia took place. Representatives of the executive branch, heads of cultural institutions and partners from other regions of Russia came to congratulate the staff of the largest library in Karelia.

The National Library of Karelia hosted the Co-Creation Laboratory “New in the Library” as part of anniversary events. The Co-Creation Laboratory was attended by professionals and heads of the National Library of Karelia and municipal libraries of Karelia, students of the library field of the Karelian College of Culture and Arts and high school students of general education institutions of Petrozavodsk.
