The National Library of Karelia held a presentation of a new book by Yury Shleikin. The book’s name is ”A Work Trip to the Twentieth Century.

Participants in the Foreign/Own project met at the first program of the new year to read, discuss and translate the “snowy pages”. The theme of the program at the National Library of Karelia was books in which snow plays a special role.

An arts evening was held at the National Library of Karelia, organized by the Karelian Centre of Nicholas Roerich. The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of Yuri Linnik (1944 - 2018), Doctor of Philosophy, poet, collector, writer, researcher of Nicholas Roerich, and singer of the Russian North.

Young readers of the National Library of Karelia met with their favorite fairy tale characters at a traditional Christmas creative program. The free performance took place twice that day: for the townspeople and for the children and grandchildren of library employees.
