27/09/2022. National project "Culture”: The Central Library of Muyezersky District – a model library of the new generation

In the Republic of Karelia in the framework of the national project Culture, the Central Model Library of Muyezersky District was solemnly opened.
Funds received under the federal project (10 million rubles) were used to create a new information and library space, buy new modern literature for children and adults, modern equipment, educational programs and games for children, including author's games on local history.
The renovated library has multifunctional areas for users of different ages: circulation departments for children and adults, zone of relaxation and informal communication for young people, computerized workplaces for individual work and education, including for people with disabilities.
The opening ceremony was attended by Varvara Lebedeva, Deputy Minister of Culture of Karelia; Tatyana Tishkova, Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia; Alexander Pashuk, Head of Muyezersky Municipal District.
On behalf of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia, a project office in the priority direction "Library Science", Margarita Kulikova, Chief Methodologist of the Department of Organization and Methods of the Library Work of the National Library, congratulated her colleagues; on behalf of the Library Association of the Republic of Karelia - Polina Solovyova, Chief Librarian of the Department of National and Local Literature and Bibliography.
The solemn event ended with a tour of the renovated library.
