15/12/2024. "Winter Tales" at the National Library
December 14, 2024:
The National Library of Karelia held a new year concert of students and teachers of G. Sviridov Children’s Music School.
According to a tradition, piano ensembles and accompaniment class students took part in the event. The artists introduced the audience to an interesting type of musical performance.
At the concert, the music from various eras and genres, from classical to contemporary pieces, was played. The audience heard pieces by J. Bach, L. Boccherini, A. Pergolesi, L. Beethoven, F. Schubert, J. Brahms, D. Shostakovich, G. Sviridov, V. Gavrilin, V. Kuprevich. Teachers A. Solovyova, D. Avdonin, L. Tsareva helped create unique ensembles. The host of the program, music school teacher Tatyana Mordvinova, introduced the audience to the history of the creation of the presented musical works, told interesting facts from the biographies of the composers.
The magical sounds of the violin, piano, domra and flute helped create a festive atmosphere and gave the evening's participants a real winter fairy tale feeling. The musical program was supplemented by books about the authors of the works performed.
