The National Library of Karelia took part in the City Day of Petrozavodsk
The celebration program of the City Day of Petrozavodsk was very rich. The National Library of Karelia participated in two projects: a premiere project Book Boulevard and a traditional museum project Illusions of the Old City.

An international seminar held on the premises of the National Library of Karelia was very relevant, because today interest in genealogy and return of family memory has been increased sharply not only in Russia, but also in the world.
13/06/2017. The Day of the Republic of Karelia was celebrated in Olonets
The Day of the Republic of Karelia has been celebrated in Karelia since 1999. Since 2013, the celebration was moved from the capital of Karelia, Petrozavodsk, to the districts of the republic. In 2017, the Day of the Republic of Karelia was held in the Olonets National District.
08/06/2017. Pushkin’s Day and Russian Language Day
June 6, 2017:
The National Library of Karelia invited everybody to celebrate the Pushkin’s Day and Russian Language Day.
By the established tradition on the Pushkin’s Day a campaign “Flowers to the Poet” was held. This day lovers of the poet's works, people of different ages, children and adults, students and schoolchildren gathered together at the monument to Alexander Pushkin.
06/06/2017. The 10th Summer School ”Modern Rural Library”
May 29, - June 2, 2017:
The 10th Summer School for Rural Librarians of Karelia ”Modern Rural Library” was held in Petrozavodsk. The event was organized by the National Library of Karelia, the Karelian College of Culture and Arts, the Library Association of the Republic of Karelia.
24/05/2017. The National Library of the Republic of Karelia took part in the Museum Night Event
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia together with the Kizhi Museum took part in the Museum Night Event. During the evening since 18 till 22 on the Kirov Square a mobile library presented a book exhibition and shown a film dedicated to a famous national poetess, mourner form Zaonezhye Irina Fedosova (1827-1899).

May 20, 2017:
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia held a presentation of the first poetry book O, muga olgah by Paushi Lemnu. The book was published in Petrozavodsk in Vesro Publishing House.
