30/11/2017. Exhibition of photographs by Yuri Lumpiev

November 29, 2017: The National Library opened an exhibition of photographs Inspiration by Yuri Lumpiev. More than 40 photos of different birds living in Karelia are presented at the exhibition. Yuri Lumpiev lives in Olonets and has been engaged in photography since 2007. The subject of interest of Yuri Lumpiev as a photographer is the beauty of nature and its inhabitants.

30/10/2017. The great poet of small peoples

October 27, 2017: In the National Library of Karelia the badge The People’s Writer of the Republic of Karelia was given to Nikolai Abramov. The title was awarded to the writer posthumously. The Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karelia Aleksei Lesonen solemnly handed over the memorial sign to the relatives of the writer.
