14/07/2024. The Finno-Ugric Libraries of Russia project to develop and promote interregional connections
For many years, the National Library of Karelia has been building and maintaining the bilingual portal Finno-Ugric Libraries of Russia, the decision to create which was made by the heads of Finno-Ugric libraries during personal interaction back in 2003.

On City Day, the mobile library of the National Library of Karelia became one of the venues of the museum festival Illusions of the Old Town at the historical district. This year, the theme of the historical re-enactment was Family Stories.

The project of the National Library of Karelia Foreign/Own reached the finals of the Rudomino Prize for 2023 competition for the best library project in the field of international activities, organized by the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature.

The National Library of Karelia held a presentation of a new book by Natalia Laidinen – The Conjugation (Rus. Ñîïðÿæåííîñòü). The Conjugation collection is a continuation of the author’s previous poetry book, The Gift of Silence (Rus. Äàð òèøèíû).
