In the Internet project Names in the History of Karelia, which is a kind of electronic encyclopedia of famous people of the republic, a new name has appeared: scientist, philologist and translator Eino Kiuru (1929 - 2015).

17/08/2024. A new book on the architectural history of Petrozavodsk as a gift to the National Library of Karelia
Elena Itsikson, architect and local historian, gave her book "History of the Architecture of Petrozavodsk. 1703-1917" to the National Library of Karelia. The book was published on the initiative of Natalia Vavilova, Director of the Museum of Fine Arts of the Republic of Karelia (1997-2022) and Honorary Citizen of Petrozavodsk.

Seven Stones of Karelia That Everyone Should Know was an exhibition dedicated to the natural brands of Karelia and prepared by the Institute of Geology of the Karelian Research Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The exhibition visited the National Library in 2024.
