The Russian State Library held in Pashkov House the All-Russian forum ”Cultural Reboot: Results and Prospects for Modernization of the Library Network”.
The forum was attended by heads of legislative and executive bodies in the cultural sphere, heads of federal and central libraries of Russia. The results of the Culture national project and new tasks facing libraries of Russia were discussed.
Statement by Vadim Duda, Director General of the Russian State Library, President of the Russian Library Association (RLA):
– Together with the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Zhanna Alekseyeva and the Chairperson of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Culture Olga Kazakova, we summed up the results of the Culture national project and defined the tasks within the framework of the new national project – Family.
Today I was once again convinced that our library community is united! In its priorities, values, aspirations!
It is very valuable that libraries have been able to become a reliable tool in implementing the most important state tasks. I listened to my colleagues with great pleasure! Together we are stronger!
Marina Nikishina, Head of the National Library of Karelia, participated in the forum. The Republic of Karelia was awarded with the Forum Certificate.
