13/10/2017. Master classes and seminar in the framework of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk

Master classes for schoolchildren and a seminar for teachers of German were held by the German Goethe Cultural Center of St. Petersburg in the framework of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk in the National Library of Karelia.
The National Library of Karelia has been long and successfully cooperated with the Goethe Institute of St. Petersburg. Bakhrom Sultanhodzhaev, a specialist of the Goethe Institute in the field of education, conducted a series of master classes within the framework of the Days of Germany. The competition "Pronounce a Word by Letters" was a fascinating contest, the most active participants of the contest program received prizes. Schoolchildren learned about the German Children's Online University. Great interest was caused by a master class in painting bags.
Participants of the master class got acquainted with the basic principles of combining colors and techniques of painting on fabric and designed bags, having implemented their artistic ideas.
Each participant took with him a bag with his/her own decor.
During the seminar Use of a Game in German Language Lessons and in Extra-Curricular Activities the teachers of the German language have raised their professional level. The seminar was prepared and hosted by Elena Nikiforova, an animator of the German Goethe Cultural Center of St. Petersburg. The teachers got acquainted with the concept of gaming activity and the technology of using the game as a means of increasing the interest and motivation of schoolchildren to learn German at a lesson and in extra-curricular activities.
The participants of the master classes were presented books about Germany from the German Information Fund, and German language teachers - books on the methodology of teaching German from the collection of the National Library of Karelia.
