The National Library of Karelia invited its good friends and partners to the meeting In the Circle of Friends. This is a good tradition on the eve of the Old New Year and an opportunity to say words of gratitude to our partners and clients, with whom we make the lives of our clients and guests brighter, more useful and richer.
The format of our meeting was a little different from the usual. The National Library partners are part of a large friendly family, thanks to which new ideas and projects are born in the life of the library! Moreover, family members meet not only at special events, but also in a cozy home environment. Therefore, the doors of the rare books sector, where are the most valuable books of our collection, were hospitably opened for the invitees. We also decided to invite friends to the book storage department, located in the premises of a modern storage facility, where access is closed to ordinary visitors. The guests were told and shown how the latest technological equipment – the automatic dust removal machine Depulvera –works. They heard about publications received by the National Library in 2024 thanks to authors, publishers and library clients.
Right after that, musical performances and fabulous congratulations on the New Year and the upcoming Old New Year awaited everyone in the conference hall! Together we remembered not only the events of the past year. The evening turned out to be friendly, warm and fun, and the most important gift for all participants of the meeting was friendly communication and new joint creative plans for the future!
