This year a friendship community Karelia – Norway celebrates it's 20th anniversary. Besides, the Republic of Karelia and the province of Troms have been cooperating for 20 years. The chairman of the friendship community Karelia – Norway Elena Rybalova told about long term ties and cooperation between Norway and Karelia. A photo exhibition Young People of the Barents Region was opened in the library. On the photos there are beautiful young people living in Norway. The audience saw a short documentary about this wonderful fjord country. |

After that a specialist of the library made a presentation about Edvard Munch's life and art. There also was an exhibition "Norway and Norwegians" consisted of books on history, geography and art of Norway and books about Munch and albums of reproductions.
The event ended with biographical feature film Edvard Munch.
