15/01/2024. Awarding the winners of the Magic Christmas 2023 competition at the National Library of Karelia
January 14, 2024:
The award ceremony of the Magic Christmas 2023 international competition has taken place! Young participants and members of the competition jury met at the National Library for a solemn summing up of the results and presentation of well-deserved awards.
The Magic Christmas competition has been running for more than 20 years, successfully developing, transforming, and adapting to changes in the world. Magic Christmas 2020 was held remotely for the first time; the change in format was natural and logical due to the difficult pandemic conditions. The new format turned out to be very convenient for both the organizers and participants of the competition.
At Magical Christmas 2023, young talents from different parts of Karelia, regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus made Christmas wishes, crafted, imagined and strove towards the good and beautiful.
The competition participants, the youngest of whom was 5 years old, competed in the following categories:
- My Christmas Story: Christmas stories, poems, fairy tales and creative essays.
- Christmas Motifs: drawings, three-dimensional paper crafting, felting, cold batik, thread printing, stone painting, birch bark weaving and other various crafts.
- Debut category Handwritten Christmas Book.
We congratulate all participants of the competition on their worthy, creative and versatile works! We wish you further development of creative potential, inspiration and, of course, victory next year!
The guest of the ceremony was the General Director of the Tvorcheskiy tsentr Sfera publishing house (Moscow) Tatyana Tsvetkova. She presented a special prize for loyalty to the traditions of the Magic Christmas competition to Vera Linkova, the head of the literary and art studio "Binomka".
The National Library of Karelia thanks the competition jury for their difficult and efficient work in selecting the best of the best!
