The National Library held the Pomors’ Culture Evening.
As a part of the evening, a tasting of Pomors’ dishes and an excursion to the exhibition Pomors’ Land at the Cold Sea was organized This exposition is the result of research and gathering work of Elena Gorokhovik, the Chief Librarian of the Belomorsk District Central Library.

The National Library of Karelia with the support of the Petrozavodsk branch of the Consulate General of Finland held a lecture on the theme The History of Finnish Cinema from the Kaurismäki Brothers and After.

September 27-28, 2019:
The forum in Tula hosted more than 100 partnership negotiations on 70 joint projects. The National Library of Karelia at the forum was represented by the Deputy Head Irina Germanova.

September 18, 2019:
The National Library of Karelia was visited by delegation of the Council of the Association of Finno-Ugric Peoples of the Russian Federation. Sergey Kiselev, the Minister of National and Regional Policy, opened the meeting. He noted the importance of Finno-Ugric cooperation on the territory of the Russian Federation.
07/09/2019. “Tübingen phenomenon”: a meeting in the framework of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk
September 5, 2019:
At the National Library, an open panel discussion “Tübingen phenomenon” was held.
The meeting was held as part of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk and was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of twinning relations between Petrozavodsk and Tübingen.
07/09/2019. Kalakunda 2019 with the National Library of Karelia
September 7, 2019:
The National Library of Karelia took part in one of the main events in Karelia and Petrozavodsk - the Kalakunda Fish Festival.
Experienced fishermen, amateur fishermen and beginners gathered at Duck Pond near the LOTOS-PLAZA Shopping and Entertainment Centre to take part in Kalakunda 2019 and compete in fishing. The new place promised even greater catch! Some plunged headlong into fishing, dreaming of catching 100 trout released into the pond.
