28/01/2022. The National Library of Karelia was awarded with a Letter of Gratitude for active participation in the All-Russian educational online project "Carousel of Folk Tales"

An expert board chose the fairy-tales for the online project “Carousel of Folk Tales”. Today, there are 93 videos made by libraries from 68 regions of Russia in the unique collection. The best fairy-tale videos that were shown at the All-Russian Family Reading Festival were awarded with Letters of Gratitude. Among them, there are fairy-tales recorded by specialists of the National Library of Karelia.

December 8, 2021: The National Library of Karelia opened an exhibition "Modern Nordic Cities: Ecology and Sustainable Development" in the framework of the international festival ”Days of Nordic Countries in Petrozavodsk”. The exhibition was organized by a longtime partner of the library – the Danish Cultural Institute in Saint Petersburg.

December 5, 2021: The National Library of Karelia held a presentation of the Calendar “Karelian Gods: Agricola's List". The "Runola" project team worked on the calendar. At the presentation, Tatyana Berdasheva told about the stages of the calendar development. Thanks to the well-coordinated work of the Runola project team, the historical texts collected by Mikael Agricola have got a new embodiment.

The purpose of the event was to present a variety of translations of the Karelian-Finnish epic poem Kalevala on the Internet.
