The Children's Reading Center. 2018
On the first day of autumn 2018, in the run-up to the new academic year, the Children's Reading Center was opened in the National Library of the Republic of Karelia. On September 1, the Head of the Karelia Arthur Parfenchikov congratulated the readers and guests of the solemn event and gave wonderful editions to the library; the books will complement the children’s literature collection of the Children's Reading Center. He also granted letters of thanks to the staff of the library.
The Children's Reading Center is located in the renovated building of the National Library of Karelia. The Center offers different publications for preschoolers, elementary and high school students, reading rooms, a playground in the winter garden, as well as modern technologies - information kiosks, game panels, self-service stations, computers, etc.
The Children's Reading Center organizes creative competitions, educational programs and projects on various topics for children of all ages.
The mission of the Children's Reading Center is to promote the successful socialization of the younger generation by reading the best books of Russian and foreign literature.
