March 31, 2014: Virtual Branch of the Russian Museum in the Central Library of Kostomuksha City District
On the 31st of March 2014 the Information and Educational Center – Virtual Branch of the Russian Museum was opened in the Central Library of Kostomuksha City District.
Opening of the Information and Educational Center – Virtual Branch of the Russian Museum in Kostomuksha was the next stage in creation of a network of Virtual Branches of the Russian Museum in libraries of Karelia and Finland with a central office in Petrozavodsk. It is a part of a project ”Libraries Make a Difference: New Forms of Libraries Activity for Local Communities”, which is implemented with support from Karelia ENPI Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
New computers were installed in these libraries. Now library users can get acquainted with unique collection of the museum presented in the form of multimedia programs and films in the Virtual Branches of the Russian Museum.
