25/08/2014. The mobile library of the National Library of Karelia at the birthday of the House of Karelian Language
July 27, 2014: The mobile library of the National Library of Karelia took part in the birthday of the House of Karelian Language in the Village of Vedlozero in the Pryazhinsky District.
There was a big exhibition consisted of books in Karelian published in the 19th-21st centuries and a unique collection of textbooks of 1930s-1940s in the mobile library. There was also an exhibition dedicated to the epic poem Kalevala.
Outside children took part in an interactive program. Schoolchildren were playing games based on the Karelian fairy-tales and a board game A Trip with the Heroes of Kalevala.
During the holiday the mobile library has been attended by about 100 adults and 40 children.
