01/02/2014. To the sounds of metronome
On the 27th of January 2014 the whole Russia commemorated the 70th anniversary of the lifting of siege of Leningrad. That day the National Library of Karelia organized an event dedicated to this important date. The evening began with the premiere of a film Blokadnoe Detstvo (Childhood at the time of Siege). The film is based on memories of people who survived the siege.
Literary and music program Metronome of Leningrad was performed by actors Elena Bichkova, Tamara Rumiantseva, Lilia Kalmikova, Dmitri Budnikov and Nikolai Antipin. The director of the performance is Oleg Gureev. The event was attended by teachers, schoolchildren, students and veterans. At the end of the evening everyone stood up and sang a song about Leningrad.
