23/09/2022. Archives and Genealogy: Conference at the National Library of Karelia
September 22-23, 2022:
At the National Library of Karelia, the V international conference Archives and Genealogy was held. The event was organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia.
The program of the conference contained reports by scientists, archivists and genealogists from Petrozavodsk, Vologda, Vyborg, Veliky Novgorod, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Belarus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Finland dedicated to genealogical research and family history.
At the opening ceremony, S. I. Solovyov, First Deputy Minister of Culture, and A. N. Morozov, Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Karelia, made welcome speeches.
The Conference was attended by employees of the National Library of Karelia. M. Y. Vanchurova, Chief Bibliographer of the Department of National and Local Literature and Bibliography, made a report “Archive of the Press of the Republic of Karelia: from a Room of Local History to the Book Chamber”.
