27/07/2022. Tales of the Northern Peoples: a fascinating journey through the tales of Karelia, Finland and Norway

The participants in the program Tales of the Northern Peoples which was a part of the project Summer with the National Library made a fascinating journey through the tales of Karelia, Finland and Norway. They showed off their knowledge about our republic and ingenuity solving very complicated riddles, got acquainted with the games played by their peers living in Finland and Norway, and made charming silver spiders that will turn any room into a fabulous corner.
During the break, a small tour of the library was organized for the participants of the program. In addition, it was full of wonders: the magical ceiling of the rotunda, the railroad on the ceiling, the "carriages" with books that easily overtake the high-speed elevator, the view from the balcony, huge fabulous chandeliers and many cosy places where it is so nice to sit with your favourite books!
