20/05/2022. All-Russian Library Congress: XXVI Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association

In Nizhny Novgorod, the Library Capital of Russia 2022, All-Russian Library Congress: XXVI Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association was opened.
The opening ceremony and the Congress were attended by Marina Nikishina, Head of the National Library of Karelia, and Dmitry Gurev, Head of the Information Technologies Center of the National Library of Karelia.
The theme of the Congress was “Libraries and Cultural Diversity”, it was organised with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Government of Nizhny Novgorod Region. A detailed congress program is here. The congress program continued until May 19, with 50 group workshops at 12 venues. The congress combined local and remote participation. The annual conference was attended by 1.3 thousand librarians from Russia and neighbouring countries.
On the 17th and 18th of May, Marina Nikishina and professionals of the National Library held their presentations.
At a joint meeting of the Central Libraries of the Russian Federation on the theme “Central Regional Library of the Russian Federation – New Challenges and New Realities”, Marina Nikišina gave a presentation on the theme “Library Networking with Partners to Achieve Functional Literacy”.
