Students who study art technologies were very attentive to information about cooperation with the St. Petersburg Roerich Family Museum and Institute, which provides the National Library of the Republic of Karelia not only with high-quality facsimile copies of N. Roerich’s paintings, but also with extensive scientific, methodological and documentary materials. Students chose for their research some of the paintings by N. Roerich, among them - Three Joys, Easter Night, Mercury of Smolensk and others.
The events at the Nicholas Roerich Center continued with a lecture by Irina Mamontova, artist, designer, member of the Union of Artists of Russia. She told about the beautiful and full of trials life of a genius, his work for the sake of beauty, synthesis, spiritual transformation of Russia, unity of people, upbringing of high moral ideals among young people, titanic efficiency and great love. The listeners were sincerely grateful to Irina Mamontova and asked her to continue the series of professional and fascinating lectures about the man who glorified Karelia and Russia.
