06/04/2022. Shaping the Future of Libraries
April 6, 2022:
At the All-Russian State Library for Foreign Literature (Moscow), the V International Forum “Shaping the Future of Libraries” was held in a hybrid format. The event was a part of the April Library Moscow Agenda (ALMA) Program with support of the Russian Library Association and the Library Assembly of Eurasia.
The theme of the forum – Multicultural Library: Realities and Perspectives – supports the agenda of the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia and also fits harmoniously into the Indigenous Languages Decade, IDIL 2022–2032, declared by the UN General Assembly.
At the National Library of Karelia, the forum was attended remotely by M. V. Nikishina, the Head of the National Library of Karelia, I. M. Germanova, the Deputy Head of the Library, and V. A. Maksimkin, the Head of the Centre for Children’s Reading.
