The National Library of Karelia held a seminar «Public Libraries in the Digital Environment and Media Space». The seminar was held in the format of a webinar, the broadcast was carried out in real time on the ZOOM platform.
The event was a part of the «Plan of Methodological (Professional) Events of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia for Heads and Specialists of Public Libraries in Karelia for 2022». The webinar was attended by 69 participants, among them there were 59 (85,5%) heads and specialists of municipal libraries and culture organizations from 16 municipal districts and 2 urban districts of Karelia.
During the webinar, the participants of the event discussed the following issues:
information resources of the National Library of Karelia to the Year of Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia; new virtual resources of the National Library of Karelia about local culture to the events of the Kalevala Marathon; electronic catalog as a tool for providing state / municipal services on the composition of library funds; managing the processes of reflecting the collections of municipal libraries in the context of connecting libraries to broadband Internet, etc.
O. A. Teltevskaya, the Chief Librarian of the National Library of Karelia, announced the recommended list of literature «Information Resources of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia to the Year of the Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia».
