13/12/2021. Opening of the exhibition "Modern Nordic Cities: Ecology and Sustainable Development"
December 8, 2021:
The National Library of Karelia opened an exhibition "Modern Nordic Cities: Ecology and Sustainable Development" in the framework of the international festival ”Days of Nordic Countries in Petrozavodsk”. The exhibition was organized by a longtime partner of the library – the Danish Cultural Institute in Saint Petersburg.
The exhibition was inspired by the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Urban Development, offering solutions in the areas of health, mobility, low-carbon technologies, circular economy and urban resilience, developed by engineers and architects from five Nordic countries.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Consul of Finland Johannes Puukki, the Head of the National Library of Karelia M. V. Nikishina, the Deputy Head of the National Library of Karelia I. M. Germanova, the Deputy Head of the Danish Cultural Institute in Saint Petersburg A. A. Anisimov.
