05/10/2021. The federal project "The Library of the New Generation", launched within the framework of the National Project "Culture", works on the territory of Karelia

The Kotkozero Rural Model Library named after Zinaida Dubinina was opened.
The funds received under the federal project were used to create a new information and library space, purchase new books, modern equipment, educational programs and games for children, including games of local history. In the updated library, users will find circulation departments for children and adults, a reading room, a zone for intellectual communication, computerized workplaces for individual work, including workplaces for people with disabilities, a maintenance complex where the Kotkozersky Vestnik will be published.
The name of Zinaida Dubinina appeared in the name of the library on October 1, 2021.
Zinaida Dubinina is a Karelian writer, who lives in the village of Kotkozero, a member of the Writers' Union of Russia, an Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Karelia, an Honorary Citizen of the city of Olonets, an Honorary Citizen of the village of Kotkozero. Zinaida Dubinina is the author of works in Karelian and the translator of Kalevala and the New Testament in Karelian.
The successful implementation of the project on the creation of the Kotkozero Rural Model Library is a result of joint fruitful work of the Olonets Central Library System, the National Library of the Republic of Karelia - the Project Office for the priority direction "Library Field" of the National Project "Culture" in the Republic of Karelia, as well as the Administrations of the Olonets National Municipal District and the Village of Kotkozero.
The opening ceremony was attended by Varvara Lebedeva, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Karelia; Tatyana Giloeva, the Head of the Department of Culture, Youth Policy, Tourism and Sports of the Olonets District Administration; Nadezhda Rubets, the Head of the Village of Kotkozero; Georgy Chernobrovkin, the Head of the Olonets Central Library System and the President of the Library Association of the Republic of Karelia; Marina Nikishina, the Head of the National Library of Karelia and the Head of the Project Office for the priority direction "Library Field" of the National Project "Culture" in the Republic of Karelia; the vocal group Koivikko, grateful readers and, of course, Zinaida Dubinina, whose name was fiven to the Kotkozero Rural Model Library.
