Children's Library of the B. E. Kravchenko Central Library of the Kondopoga District became a winner of the competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The institution will receive 5 million rubles for repairs and equipment to meet the model library standard.
The competition winners were 110 municipal libraries from 51 subjects of Russia.
The National Library of the Republic of Karelia is a regional project office for the creation of model libraries. Let us remind that the children's library in Kondopoga will become the fifth model library created in Karelia within the framework of the Kultura National Project. Participants from Karelia have won in every competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation for the creation of model libraries. Model libraries are already working in the village of Yanishpole and in Sortavala. In September, a renewed library will be opened in the village of Vyartsilya, and in October - in the village of Kotkozero. The application from the Kondopoga library also made a good impression on the jury, gaining 190 points with a passing score of 176.
Next year, the Republic will receive a transfer from the Federal Budget, and by the end of 2022, a major modernization of the library will be carried out, which will increase its status as a center for reading and culture.
