06/09/2021. Getting knowledge from the library at "ZnaniumFEST"!
September 1, 2021:
On the first day of September, schoolchildren from Petrozavodsk came to the National Library of Karelia to open a new intellectual season and take part in the ZnaniumFEST.
In the "library scientific laboratory", two sites of the program were dedicated to the names of great scientists - Albert Einstein and Andrei Sakharov. At one of them, the guys united into teams and tested their knowledge in the intellectual battles of the quiz “Hello, Einstein!” Three wonderful teams took part in the quiz.
On the same day, the opening of the traveling photo exhibition "Andrei Dmitrievich Sakharov: a Man of the Era" took place. The exhibition presents photographs and documents from the Sakharov Archive and collections of domestic and foreign museums, libraries, international organizations, mass media and private collections.
The most far-sighted schoolchildren decided to learn how the world of professions will change in ten years and attended an interactive lesson "Professions of the Future - the Future of Professions."
On the Day of Knowledge, the participants in the ZnaniumFEST were offered to go on walking excursions “Read the Streets like Books”. Specialists of the National Library of Karelia have conducted excursions along the Onega embankment and Kirov square for fans of the history of Petrozavodsk, incl. schoolchildren, teachers and parents.
As a part of the holiday, the staff of the National Library took part in the annual all-Russian campaign "Running Book". The action took place in the format of an intellectual race along several routes: Onega Embankment, Pushkinskaya and Kuibyshev Streets, as well as in the area around the Yunost stadium.
Primary school students took part in the game program "Different Schools are Important!"
New academic year, new knowledge, new books! Children will have to read a lot, keep up with everything, and, of course, a bookmark will help in reading. It is especially pleasant when you make it with your own hands, and the participants took part in the master class on making a bright, fun and very convenient pencil bookmark using the origami technique.
During the day in the library, there was a playground "First-class FightUM" for all young fans of board games.
The academic year, like a game, is just beginning!
