24/05/2021. All-Russian Library Congress in Petrozavodsk has ended!

The National Library of Karelia held the final plenary session and the closing ceremony of the All-Russian Library Congress 2021.
The President of the Russian Library Association Mikhail Afanasyev, summed up the results of the All-Russian Library Congress. The entire extremely rich program has been completed. The complexity of the implementation was also in a completely new format for holding such a large-scale event. All problems have been solved, and the librarians have coped with the challenges of the time, at least for holding the congress.
On the results of the online elections Mikhail Afanasyev was chosen again the President of the Russian Library Association for 2021 – 2024.
After the final plenary session, a closing ceremony of the Library Congress was held. Librarians of the country have received the awards of the Russian Library Association for their achievements in librarianship over the past two years.
The Library Capital of Russia - 2022 was solemnly announced. Nizhny Novgorod won this right in a fair fight. The representatives of Nizhny Novgorod were handed the sign of The Library Capital – our traditional musical instrument kantele.
