16/01/2020. The results of the contest Magic Christmas

The National Library opened an exhibition of children's creative works Magic Christmas.
The opening ceremony was preceded by an awarding ceremony for the winners of the competition.
Creative performance turned out to be bright, original, filled with light and positive emotions. This year, the competition was held for the nineteenth time. More than 600 works performed in various techniques and using various materials were sent by children from almost all districts of the republic to the National Library of Karelia. Other regions did not stand aside: Arkhangelsk and Surgut regularly participate in Magic Christmas. The organizers accepted applications in two categories: Christmas Motives: Drawings, Arts and Crafts and Christmas Stories: Literary Works. The competition received works made not only by one participant, but by the whole family, and entire children's groups: from kindergartens, schools, creative houses, children's art schools and studios, libraries. Each craft, drawing or handwritten book is the result of mastery, creativity and inspiration. Participants whose works were selected by the jury received from Grandfather Frost hands memorable souvenirs with the symbols of the competition, as well as certificates valid for the whole of 2020 for free attendance at events held by the National Library during the holidays.
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia always supports initiatives for the development and support of children's and youthful creativity.
At the awarding ceremony of the competition, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Karelia Varvara Lebedeva presented special prizes to the participants of the competition.
A mini-concert, joyful faces of children and parents, poetry reading, warm words from jury members and contest participants - this is a real award for the National Library.
We hope that the contest Magic Christmas will unite more than once children and adults. This year, the competition will celebrate its 20th anniversary, which means that future participants will have an unforgettable Magic Christmas!
