18/01/2020. Meeting of Friends at the National Library
January 12, 2020:
At the end of the New Year holidays the National Library of Karelia invited its faithful friends and partners. For the fifth year in a row, these days the National Library of Karelia has been holding a Meeting of Friends for those with whom we make the lives of our readers and guests brighter, more useful and richer. A work trip on the Day of the Republic of Karelia to Medvezhyegorsk, reading recommendations contest Take and Read, opening of the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library and many other events became possible thanks to our friends and partners.
Teachers and social workers, artists and librarians, doctors and designers became participants of the Old New Year fairytale program. Fairy-tale characters sang, danced and played. The heroes of the fairy tale Morozko, the Fox Alice, the Cat Basilio and even the cartoonish Vovka became assistants and the main characters of the meeting.
The guests of the event saw the concert of students of the Petrozavodsk College of Music Yuri Bogdanov and Alisa Ivashchenko and the Quartet of Folk Instruments Expromt.
All participants of the meeting were welcomed by the Head of the library Marina Nikishina. She spoke about plans for 2020 related to the XXV All-Russian Library Congress. The evening turned out to be friendly warm. The guests received souvenirs, gifts and lots of positive emotions from the National Library.
