The National Library held the Pomors’ Culture Evening.
As a part of the evening, a tasting of Pomors’ dishes and an excursion to the exhibition Pomors’ Land at the Cold Sea was organized This exposition is the result of research and gathering work of Elena Gorokhovik, the Chief Librarian of the Belomorsk District Central Library.
The exhibition dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the village of Soroka (since 1938, the city of Belomorsk) is aimed at studying, preserving and popularizing the culture and history of the northern territory of Karelia.
The evening ended with a performance by the Pomors’ Folk Choir.
