23/10/2019. The annual meeting of the heads of federal and central regional libraries of Russia
October 22-23, 2019:
The Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Library and the Russian National Library held the Annual Meeting of the Heads of the Federal and Central Regional Libraries of Russia.
The main topic is The National Project Culture as a New Stage in the Development of Libraries. The Head of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia Marina Nikishina took part in the meeting.
Themes:
- creation of a concept for the development of library science in the Russian Federation;
- creation of model municipal libraries in the framework of the federal project "Cultural Environment": first results and prospects;
- the federal project "Digital Culture". Replenishment of the collection of digitized publications of the National Electronic Library with rare books. Register of rare books and addition of publications to the National Electronic Library: specificity and sequence of processes;
- the National Electronic Library;
- issues of the safety of library collections in the long run;
- development of competencies of library and information specialists: projects and programs.
Within the framework of the meeting, a plenary session and round tables, a solemn summing up of the Third All-Russian competition of library innovations, organized by the Russian State Library, were held.
