07/09/2019. “Tübingen phenomenon”: a meeting in the framework of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk

At the National Library, an open panel discussion “Tübingen phenomenon” was held.
The meeting was held as part of the Days of Germany in Petrozavodsk and was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of twinning relations between Petrozavodsk and Tübingen.
The discussion was attended by guests from the German city of Tübingen, Lilia Künstle, the Chairman of the West-East Society from the German side, teachers and students of the German and French Language Department of the Institute of Foreign Languages of Petrozavodsk University and members of the Tübingen Friends Club.
Residents of Petrozavodsk and Tübingen, who stood at the cradle of partnership between our cities, shared their memories of how our friendship began. Students who study the German language perfectly read the poems written by Ludwig Uland, a German poet and a native from Tübingen. The meeting participants had a great opportunity to communicate with German guests and ask questions. The meeting turned out to be very warm and cordial.
