07/09/2019. Kalakunda 2019 with the National Library of Karelia
September 7, 2019:
The National Library of Karelia took part in one of the main events in Karelia and Petrozavodsk - the Kalakunda Fish Festival.
Experienced fishermen, amateur fishermen and beginners gathered at Duck Pond near the LOTOS-PLAZA Shopping and Entertainment Centre to take part in Kalakunda 2019 and compete in fishing. The new place promised even greater catch! Some plunged headlong into fishing, dreaming of catching 100 trout released into the pond.
Guests of the festival who are indifferent to fishing walked at the fair, they tasted fish soup and honey and looked at crafts made by masters of arts and craft.
Fishing wakes up a lot of feelings. A fisherman faces different emotions indulging in his love and passion. And those activities that cause strong emotions have always become the subject of fiction literature.
The guests of the mobile library of the National Library of Karelia remembered famous writers for whom fishing was a real hobby. Music and film lovers guessed songs and films about fishing.
One of the guests of the mobile library noted that fishing is a great type of family vacation that gives unforgettable emotions and impressions. Fishing strengthens the willpower, makes it possible to plunge into leisurely thinking, brings satisfaction and pride in a significant catch, and creates a special state of mind.
