The opening ceremony of personal exhibition the Format of a famous Karelian painter Vitaly Nakonechnyi was held on the exhibition hall of the National Library of Karelia. The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Designers of Russia and it will be open during a month.
Vitaly Nakonechnyi has been working with book for many years, and the exhibition has shown, how much he has already done. Covers of hundreds of books and magazines, illustrations of many works are presented on the stands, besides there are dozens of books and magazines that visitors can browse. Among them there are magnificent editions by Karelian classics, modern writers and poets, beautiful Gospel, magazines Sever and Carelia, books on different subjects. At the opening ceremony speches were made by the Head of the Department of Cultural Policy of the Ministery of Culture of the Republic of Karelia Varvara Lebedeva, the Deputy Head of the National Library of Karelia Irina Germanova, painter Vladimir Lobanov, architect Vladislav Kuspak, the Chairman of the Karelian Congress Anatoly Grigoryev, publisher Aleksey Makarov. They noted the huge contribution made by Vitaly Nakonechnyi to the culture of Karelia. Books, designed by Vitaly Nakonechnyi have always been distinguished by quality, the original vision of the text and image completeness. The Format exhibition is a result of a big phase of creativity of Vitaly Nakonechnyi, who is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Union of Designers of Russia, Honoured Art Worker of the Republic of Karelia, a laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Karelia, a winner of All-Union, All-Russia and Karelian and Book Contests.
