The National Library of Karelia gathered the real fans of literature. There was organized a creative meeting with writers Liudmila Sinitsyna (Moscow), Mikhail Streltsov (Krasnoyarsk), Vera Linkova (Petrozavodsk) and Johanna Lesch (Germany).
A meeting was held in the framework of the 4th Literature Festival Petroglyph - 2016. The path to the reader was not simple in the literal sense. The day before the festival participants run into a violent storm. But these adventures made the friendly writers’ team even more rallied.
Our guests told their impressions about Karelia: its citizens, traditions and of course about the festival. Johanna Lesch confessed that for a long time she has wanted to visit our region and speaks Russian well. She captivated the readers and also the colleagues with artistic reading of poems by Goethe.
Mikhail Streltsov told about development of festival movement in Krasnoyarsk region and also spoke about unpoetic topic of financing of such projects.
Liudmila Sinitsyna is a prose writer, screenwriter, wonderful photograph and also the head of the Department for Popular Science Literature of Nauka i Zhizn Magazine (Eng. Science and Life) brought several issues of the magazine as a present to Karelian readers.
At the end of the meeting Vera Linkova told about interesting forms of work with young readers and presented to the National Library a handmade album dedicated to the history of the Petroglyph Festival.
Gradually a meeting turned into a warm talk and exchange of summer experiences and plans for the future. Writers admitted that the beauty of local nature and meetings with Karelian readers will be remembered for a long time and become a new source of creative inspiration.
