20/07/2016. Publishing House Periodika celebrated its 25 years!
On the first day of July the National Library of Karelia organized an event Periodika: first 25, dedicated to the anniversary of the Publishing House Periodika.
At the anniversary event the staff of the Publishing House Periodika received congratulations of the Ministry of the Republic of Karelia for National Politics, Relations with Public and Religious Associations and Mass Media, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia, national public organizations, colleagues, partners and readers.

For a quarter of a century the Publishing House Periodika has been actively publishing books, newspapers and magazines in Karelian, Vepsian and Finnish and also promoting preservation, development and use of languages of Karelia’s peoples, ensuring continuity of journalism traditions in languages with a recent system of writing. The Publishing House Periodika distributes its products in Karelia and also Leningrad Oblast and Vologda Oblast and in Finland.
The Publishing House Periodika integrates 5 editorial offices: newspapers Karjalan Sanomat, Oma Mua, Kodima, magazines Carelia and Kipinä. The main objective of these editions is to provide information on political, economical, social and cultural life of Karelia to citizens in Karelian, Vepsian, Finnish and Russian language. Editorial offices of newspapers and magazines have longstanding close contacts with Finnish partners: Karjalan Sivistysseura, Karjalan Kielen Seura, Suomi-Venäjä-Seura, M. A. Castrén seura and etc.
The Publishing House Periodika will continue to develop and use Karelian, Finnish and Vepsian language and strengthen relations with its readers and audience living in other regions of the Russian Federation and other Finno-Ugric countries.
