18/05/2016. To the 130th anniversary of the Tatar poet Ğabdulla Tuqay

The National Library of Karelia in collaboration with the Society of Tatar Culture Chulpan organized a poetic marathon My Nation. My Culture. Our World dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the Tatar poet Ğabdulla Tuqay. The creative meeting was opened by the First Deputy Minister of the Republic of Karelia for National Politics, Relations with Public and Religious Associations and Mass Media Viktor Krasnozhon and the Chairman of the Society of Tatar Culture Chulpan Farida Fadeeva.
The poetic marathon was attended by young musicians who study at the M. A. Balakirev Children’s School of Arts. A soloist of the Musical Theatre, a winner of Russian and international contests Elvina Mullina sang songs on poems by Ğabdulla Tuqay. His poems were read by heads of Karelian non-governmental organizations and employees of the National Library. Participants of the poetic marathon said that they have newly discovered works by Ğabdulla Tuqay.
