The National Library of Karelia held the StartUp weekend WarmUP for the young entrepreneurs.
How to make a million? Where to start? Which ideas could be a gold mine for the business start-ups? The most daring and creative young people discussed, debated, practiced and shared their experiences. That was the first event in the framework on an annual plan of the Program of innovations support in the Republic of Karelia. The main objective of the project is to provide access of the younger generation to knowledge and experience that are essential for building an innovative business. “Time is money”. “He who owns the information owns the world”. These aphorisms are familiar to many people, but few of them know that the library today can be a reliable partner in solving these problems.
Specialists of the National Library told the young businessmen about new and innovative features that allows to find quickly and get accurate information which can be the basis of a successful business project. The patrons of our library can store the data directly to their personal computers. Each participant has received an invaluable experience during the StartUp weekend WarmUP and a library card which is also a membership card of the new Entrepreneur's Club. The Club will start very soon in the National Library of Karelia, and we hope, that its work will be a key to successful business development in Karelia.
