24/09/2024. Virtual Concert Hall at Suoyarvi Central Library

At Suoyarvi Central Library, the Virtual Concert Hall opened. The library became the winner of the competition of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation within the framework of the Digital Culture federal project of the Culture national project and received funds in the amount of 612.0 thousand rubles for the purchase of sound and multimedia equipment.
The guests of the official ceremony were welcomed online by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Karelia and Tatyana Talitskaya, Director of the Karelian State Philharmonic.
Guests of the new virtual hall listened to an organ concerto by the French composer Francis Poulenc performed by Kaluga Philharmonic. The meeting ended with music by a contemporary composer Hans Zimmer from the Interstellar.
Now, on the premises of the library, residents of Suoyarvi will have access to the masterpieces of culture and art. All events of the virtual concert hall are free. In the Republic of Karelia, two virtual concert halls are now operating at the public libraries – in the central library of the city of Pitkyaranta and the Suoyarvi central library. And in total, there are seven of them open in our republic.
