The evening of People's writer of Karelia Marat Tarasov was held in the National Library of the Republic of Karelia. The master of the evening, the Honored Artist of the Republic of Karelia, an actor of the drama theater of the Republic of Karelia "Tvorcheskaya masterskaya" Valery Baulin read numerous reviews by internationally recognized poets - friends and contemporaries who highly valued talent of Marat Tarasov.
An active life philosophy is typical for the poet. Marat Tarasov has dedicated ten years to social work in the Commission on Human Rights under the Head of the Republic of Karelia. A lawyer and a colleague of Marat Tarasov Vyacheslav Mikheev who now is the Deputy Head of the Administration of Garnizonnoe rural settlement told about the work of the Commission and real aid to the needy. Marat Tarasov has also directed the All-Russian Children's Fund. The members of the fund congratulated the hero of the day warmly.
As the chairman of the Karelian Union of Writers Marat Tarasov pays a lot of his attention and provides help to the talented young writers. A young poet Dmitry Kosmin told about the role of Marat Tarasov in his life and creative work.
The hero of the day was congratulated by the Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia on social issues V. Ulich, the Minister of Culture of the Republic of Karelia E. Bogdanova, the Chairman of the Sortavala friendly association in Petrozavodsk A. Gusarov and others. Marat Tarasov read his new poems.
The Head of the National Library of the Republic of Karelia M. Nikishina gave Marat Tarasov an exclusive copy of the bibliographic index Marat Vasiljevich Tarasov as gift. The index was prepared by the staff of the National Library.
