The National Library opened an art exhibition of Margarita Yufa The Magical Nature of the North and a book exhibition From the History of Nature Conservation in Karelia.
The Magical Nature of the North exhibition presents 12 works made by a Karelian painter Margarita Yufa in 2009-2022. The works are united by one theme – the love for nature, the desire to preserve its pristine beauty. According to Margarita Yufa, since her childhood, she has been interested in plants and their beauty. In her paintings, Margarita Yufa shows the frozen beauty of nature and makes us think about the fragility of the natural world.
The Karelian Regional Union of the All-Russian Society of Nature Conservation turned 65 on May 20, 2024. For this date, the National Library of Karelia prepared a book exhibition From the History of Nature Conservation in Karelia, reflecting the main stages of the development of the Karelian Regional Union.
At the end, the guests of the exhibition heard Ariel Ramirez’s play the Lark, performed by Vera and Aleksand Militsky, laureates of international competitions, artists of the orchestra of the Musical Theatre of the Republic of Karelia and the Karelian Philharmonic.
The Magical Nature of the North exhibitions continues its work till July 19.
