2013 is a jubilee year for the National Library of Karelia. The Library celebrates it's 180th anniversary. The first event devoted to this anniversary is a play The Apples' Time. On the 27th of January 2013 in the National Library of Karelia this performance was shown for the first time. The play directed by Tatyana Moskovkina is based on the novel Near the Paradise and poems by Jaana Zhemoitelite. The action takes place in Petrozavodsk in 1927, and the main character Masha Meshcherskaya is working in The Public Library, in other words, the play is shown in the "right" interiors.

| In the play poetry, prose, music and folk songs are woven together. At the same time the viewers became visitors of an improvised café of NEP's time. Tea, pies and experiences were offered to the guests. Jaana Zhemoitelite and Natalia Alatalo play in that performance. The performance was directed and designed by Tatyana Moskovkina. |  |
