26/10/2023. The 105th anniversary of the Komsomol was celebrated at the National Library of Karelia

The National Library of Karelia held a meeting “Komsomol of Karelia in Persons”. The history of the Karelian Komsomol is a living past that is dear to many residents of our republic.
On this anniversary evening, the role of host was taken by Yuri Shleikin, Honoured Journalist of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Karelia, author of many books, and, of course, a Komsomol member. During the meeting, a warm and friendly atmosphere prevailed in the hall; everyone was able to remember their Komsomol youth. The Redant ensemble, led by A.V. Fedosov, performed several songs honouring the memory of the Komsomol members who died during the Great Patriotic War.
During the meeting, much attention was paid to the history of the Karelian Komsomol. Komsomol members remembered the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s. Thanks to newsreels, we can see the events of those years. At the meeting, participants saw the Soviet Karelia newsreels, dedicated to Komsomol members of those years. Photographs of Komsomol meetings of the 70s and 80s were presented; many of the heroes of these photographs came to the meeting on that day. The performance of the Zoryaine ensemble brightened the meeting.
